Awashima

An island near Numazu City. You can reach it by ferry from the Awashima Marine Park Ticket Counter. On the island, there is a hotel with an onsen Awashima Hotel and a Marine Park.

There’s a pedestrian tunnel called Blue Cave near the hotel, but it may end with a closed exit.

Marine Park

At the top of the island, there is a temple. It takes about 25–30 minutes of an easy walk to get there, mostly along stone steps with railings. On the second day after check-out, you can leave your belongings at the reception and take a stroll.

The southern part of the island was closed at the beginning of 2025 due to construction work, so a full walk along the coastline is not possible. A single day is more than enough for a complete tour.
